Purchased for bird watching to replace a more budget monocular that had broken.This is easy to use and gives a nice clear image in the right lighting conditions.Phone holder is much more secure than others on the market too.Used on a wet windy day at the coast and did get a little bit misty, but all in all pleased with my purchase.

Neat scope. You need to use your phone's zoom feature to avoid the circle pics. It's in the manual. If your phone is the cats with, say, 5x zoom, then you can get 12 x 5 = 60 times magnification. Add to this a phone with AI night mode and it truly comes alive at night. Can't comment on the price. I know there are more powerful scopes for less, but haven't tried them. This one is crystal clear, so I'm happy.

Yep I’m a sceptic and I starting thinking there’s no way is this is 12x magnification. Took it to the beach and still was all set to return it but to give it a fair chance set it up on a tripod and wow all my doubts melted away. I could see birds in the trees which couldn’t be seen with the naked eye and as it was raining I couldn’t move away from shelter but there’s so much to explore! For me the answer is a tripod or monopod otherwise the magnification properties cause too much blurring. Setting up the phone to take photos is fiddly but otherwise very satisfied.
