Got this soldering iron to fix some Christmas lights that I’ve broke and I can say it does a very good job. Love the fact that you can control the temperature and it also comes with everything you need for soldering. I would definitely recommend this product even if you’re a beginner.

When I First Received This & Opened The Long Slim Box.. I Thought, OMG! .. They Sent Me A Toy! Really is Slim, But Don't Let That Fool You.. This 90W - 80c to 480c Soldering Iron Is Perfectly Capable of Tackling Any Soldering Job , Slim Tip & Iron are Perfect for Fine Circuit Board Work + You Get 5 Extra Soldering Tips of varying Sizes & Shape to Tackle a Variety of Different Situations. You actually get quite a lot for your money in the box.. The 5 Tips Mentioned, 50g Reel of 0.7 Rosin Core Solder Wire, A little Solder Iron Stand & A Sponge Pad you dampen to Clean Tips.. May be Small & not the Best, but it'll do you fine for a bit. A Spanner for Iron to Change Tips & Instructions. The Iron Features ON/Off Button, a Clear LCD Screen with Large Blue Bright easy to See & Read Digits. A Button to Increase Temp Range & Also One to Decrease.. The Temps Seem Pretty Accurate too.. Also Goes To Sleep & Turns Off after 15 Minutes if Left Uncared for!I Found it rather good in use, both soldering & de-soldering. Equally as good as my Large Solder Rework Station.. Without the hassle of Dragging it out & assembling it. Bit more Quicker & Convenient. Its also Great to Control the Temperature precisely for the job at hand! All Good.I just Noticed before posting, some unlucky buyers have had them go 'Pop'.. Mine has been fine.. Touch Wood! .. So Far! Used it on about 6 occasions in the last 2 weeks. I will keep my eye on it & report back if any issues arise. Hope Not.. as I do like it, it would be a shame to lose it.Being an electrician.. I know if something electrical is going to go, It will either be D.O.A, Go Bang as soon as turned on, or fail certainly within hours/24hrs.. or first week.. generally you'll be fine after that.. not ruling out being unlucky after with component failure! Mass Production for you & sometimes inferior components/design!Still a Hassle though :(I will rate mine as 4 Star for Now, dropped a star out of concern, as seems a few have had issues.. But mine is perfectly fine and works very well, i will use more & alter if need be.

If you need to do some soldering and don't have the gear to do it this kit has it all included, I have only tried this out once and it quickly heated up to temperature, and trying it on some old wire it did the job, I'm not sure about the the digital display, I managed years without that function but for some it could be useful, I just think it could be something to go wrong at some point hopefully not though, does what it's designed for so good enough.

Materials:Solder has a plastic handle, that is covered in rubber for precise finger grip.Plastic On/Off button.Plastic temperature gauge controller, with listed temperature levels.Solder heating element is fully made from aluminum/steel.The kit I received Had a brand new set of Soldering wire, soldering paste, solder holder and 5 different metal heads.Overall I'm happy with it, the solder heats up quickly and holds selected temperature. It has a standard security fuse at the socket plug. The great thing about this bundle is that you get everything you will ever need as a beginner and intermediate micro technician. My only remarks would be related to the solder plastic buttons, they don't feel fully secure and free play a bit. But its nothing serious in the end.

The LCD screen is what drew me to this ironIt is big and easy to see.You need to get used to what the buttons do. (The instruction leaflet is quite small with miniscule text)The orange one is the power button.Long press for on....Long press for off.The grey one is the plus button for going up the temperatures and the green is the minus for going down.It can change between 80 and 480 c ,so lots of range. When on, Press the plus and minus for 1 degree changes or longer press for longer amounts.Let go when the correct temp and it flashes to save itIt keeps whatever was saved last..There is a potentiometer on the circuit board to adjust if it is off temp by much but I havent dont that.In standby you can press both plus and minus to swap between Celcius and Fahrenheit. It heats up very fast and you can watch it do so via the Large numerals which display bright Blue. There is a silicon collar around the top of the handle which gives improved grip while working. The flex end has a reinforcing sleeve where it joins the iron's handle. The Cable is about 1 metre and 35 cm long or about 54 inches and has a UK 3 pin plugChanging the ends is easy. The gnarled metal knob has two flat sides to undo with supplied spanner and the tips slide into the tube that is released by undoing it.It comes with 5 spare ends included, ranging from narrow ,flat blade to pointed endAlso supplied one small reel of solder 0.6mm 50 G 1.6% flux 60% tin 40% lead1 tiny little stand with dry sponge to reconstitute, okay for occasional use but you might want a more robust stand for prolonged useIt works well so far.Due to its fast heating, I was able to tin the weeny little wires on a mini motor and attach them back where they were wanted without burning a hole , leaving globules of solder everywhere or ruining the connector at the other end.I like that there is such control over the temperature and how easy it is to see when it reaches optimum heat and that the main tip is a good fine one for small work.I found this iron easy to use but the variety of button combinations are complicated and you would have trouble using it if you lost the instructions.

Very good this iron. I’m impressed all round with this. The digital display, if accurate, is brilliant. It shows the current temperature and counts up when you turn it on then if you increase or decrease the temp then it shows the target then flashes then back to the current temp and it counts up or down until it hits the target, as I said if it is accurate then it’s really good. It heats up fast too, faster than most others I’ve used and also showing the temp let’s you know exactly when you can use it. The only negative is the buttons, they work fine but feel flimsy and cheaply made, they let down the iron as the rest of it it good. You can change the tips for different shapes which is good, you remove the screw nut and the outer sheath then there is a nut to undo with the provided mini spanner to release the tip.The solder and holder with sponge are bog standard and what you get with most irons. The solder is 0.6mm so good for small wire joins or circuitry.Using the iron is nice, the small rubber sleeve at the end of the handle work remarkably well and makes it more comfortable to hold and relax your hand to work with as opposed to a smooth plastic that gets slippery when you get hot fingers.Over all this is a decent soldering iron with a very useful display, in this price range I would definitely recommend this, I’ve had a dozen over the years around this price and this is my favourite so far.

I had a soldering iron that has a dial to control the temperature but sometimes it is difficult to see the current temperature and I thought it will be handy to have a digital display especially to heat up gun for quick jobs. I was surprised how quickly this gun heats up. The LCD display is crisp and it is extremely easy to adjust the temperature. It comes with a soldering iron stand with a clean sponge, 5 soldering iron tips, solder wire, soldering paste, a small wrench, and a manual. It is perfect for any soldering job.

This is a great starting soldering kit with all the essentials you need to get started with hobbies electronics and hopefully it will last you for many projects to come.- Good value kit- Changeable tips is nice- Heats up quickly- Controls are nice to have but could be better- Nice solder includedSo I do some small electrical projects which means I need a decent soldering set and I do have a more expensive kit with a lot more components. But when I saw this was available and that the iron had a temperature control I was excited to try it out.So this set comes with a few parts and I was a bit surprised which items I liked and which ones I was disappointed with. Starting with the iron, I had high hopes manly over the controls, first of the LED indicator is a nice touch but the fact that it is red and almost the same colour as the body of the iron means that in a bright room (which I hope the space you are soldering is) then it is very dim. The temperature control is very small and the text is quite hard to read, it would have been nice if the light changed colour when it got to temperature too.The iron works perfectly fine and I actually found the temperature control quite neat, the solder included is a standard 60-40 split which means it will melt at about 180 degrees Celsius so at 200 which is the lowest heat setting it can still melt the solder, but it just happens slightly slower and that can give you a little more control for example when removing components or melting solder to fix a mistake. I think for most uses I would recommend sitting in the middle and if you feel like you need a bit more or less you can adjust, but I think you would spend most of your time at 300 degrees. The power cable included with the iron is a bit small for my liking and I would recommend not running it very far at all, unfortunately the stands is also small and not the most stable and these two things in combination did concern me a few times when I placed the iron on the stand. The solder is actually pretty good for a set like this, it is a standard mix but resulted in nice joints and I’m pretty happy with it.Pros :- Good value kit- Changeable tips is nice- Heats up quickly- Controls are nice- Nice solder includedCons :- Controls could be better- Stand isn’t great- Cable is a bit short

This is great kit for beginners like me. With any DIY jobs or to fix something once in a while. They are supplying you with what i think everything you need to perform full soldering. Package include:- 5 extra replaceable heads + 1 already on solder iron,- soldering paste,- soldering wire,- stand with sponge- wrenchSolder iron feels very comfortable in hand while soldering, rubber handle gives extra grip, no risk it will slip off and protects extra from heat. It seems really well build, knob rotate easily and it is positioned in place that you won't accidentally change temperature while using. Whole body is rather simple and basic but fully practical and functional. There is slide to turn it ON/OFF, know and indicator which states if it is turned on or off.The solder iron heat up very quick, 2-3 minutes and it is ready to go for 250℃ but after use takes a while to cool down so please be careful, give it a plenty time and do not touch nozzle to try if it's cold or hot. The Solder iron is quite precise with default tip, you can do actually very small and tidy soldering with it.I have however problem with stand, i wish it would be more stable or different design which gonna hold soldering iron in place, instead it keep wobbling on sides which could lead to accident. I am recommend to secure it somehow or get different stand. Also power cable could be braided and a bit longer. Unless you have power socket somewhere nearby. Besides that i am very pleased with whole kit. Really happy.

This soldering iron is ia very handy one,  it is packed with different sizes of the tips of the soldering iron including Flux soldertand as well as sponge. The soldering iron is made with plastic handle and very easy to get hold of.There is a switch that can be rotate to regulate the temperature ranging from 200⁰c to 450⁰c. When it is switched on, a red light will show up on the device it self which means that it is now connected and ready to use.So far so good it is really lovely and did a good job, I have been able to do some soldering with with it.

I ordered this for my husband as he had mentioned that he needed a soldering iron to fix a circuit board. He says it’s a great little soldering iron. Works well, and gets up to the desired temperature quickly. Being able to set it to different temperatures is a bonus’s He also said the the different heads are great for precision jobs and the flux and soldering paste work well. The kit came well packaged in a plain cardboard box and contained an instruction leaflet. There is also a pair of tweezers which helps with fiddly work and also a little spanner. Definitely five stars!

Soldering Iron Kit Electronic 60W Adjustable TempThis is quite a handy soldering kit for the money, it comes complete with a set of different solder tips, flux, solder, stand, and sponge. The solder iron appears to be well made with a plastic handle, this has a large black silicone rubber grip area that is easy to hold in the fingers. On top of the handle is a plastic slide switch that powers the soldering iron on and off. Above the switch is a circular dial which can be rotated to adjust the temperature anywhere between 200° - 450°C. Which is handy if soldering on thicker metal or you wish to melt older more stubborn solder that has a low lead content. The cable is a good length giving good freedom of movement. The cable is plastic coated, personally I would have preferred this to have been heat resistant rubber, as plastic will melt quickly if accidentally touched with a hot solder tip. There is a good selection of various shaped tips; 5 spare tips, along with the tip that's already fixed to the iron. Swapping tips is easy, just unscrew the retaining nut and the tip can be slid out and replaced with another. All of the most useful shaped tips are included but if more are needed then they are readily available to purchase. The iron heats up quickly, it is ready to use within a very short time. A red LED is displayed to show that the soldering iron is switched on. I had no issues whatsoever soldering with this. It's handy having the temperature dial as it's easy to increase the power if a little extra heat is required. The provided sponge should be dampened with water and used for keeping the soldering tip clean, otherwise you will find the tip will blacken and not be able to be loaded with solder. As far as a starter soldering kit goes, this has all that you need and works without issue!CONTENTS:1 x Soldering Iron5 x Spare Soldering Iron Tips1 x Solder Wire1 x Stand With Sponge1 x Soldering Flux1 x ManualThank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

This is an excellent product. Not only do you get a good quality iron, you also get everything else you might need for a soldering job & because of this it's a great thing for beginners. I haven't needed to adjust the temperature as I’ve very accurate but given that many soldering irons don't have this feature to begin with it's a nice add-on. 5 different heads for the correct welding job, All in all, great kit includes all needs to repair or do new project with. I recommend this especially for the adjustable temperature dial. Love the anti-slip handle!
