Product works well for the small job I had used once or twice and appears to be simple to use.

Good range of heat control, took a bit of trial and error to fin the right setting but I keep knocking the dial while i'm working and change the setting. Supplied tips poor quality though; disintegrated in no time - but for the price fair enough. Decent replacements bought separately have fared better.

The soldering iron works well but the solder supplied with it doesn’t flow, chucked it away and bought quality solder. All good now.

We got this soldering kit as my husband likes to repair electronic toys, so he wanted a good solder iron to help him repair and fix any broken wires. This kit came with a soldering iron which can be adjusted for temperature, it goes up to 480 degrees and can be adjusted to much lower temperatures, it has one button to turn it on and off, you keep this button pressed and it switches on and you can then set the temperature with tow buttons, one for increasing and the other to decrease the temperature. There is also a little dock to put the solder iron on when you are using it and it also come with replacement heads, there are in total six heads, including the one on the iron and a spool of solder which is 6mm thick, I think there is a lot on the spool, but my husband tells me you can buy more solder fairly cheaply.I found that to replace the heads was a bit fiddly, especially if the solder iron is on, it comes with a spanner to unscrew the top, remove the head and put in another one, I recommend you put in the correct head first time, as removal when it is hot can be dangerous. My husband was a bit disappointed, as he said it did not come with a suction pump, this enables you to suck up the solder and you can then reuse it again, also, the kit did not come with a case to put everything in, the price for this kit was £16.97, this was reduced from over £21 so one certainly would expect to have a good case and a suction pump in the kit.Whilst my husband was happy with the adjustable solder iron, it was let down by not having a pump and a case and being, as a result overpriced, so unfortunately I will have to give this four stars overall.

This is a nice soldering kit, it comes with practically all the basic things you need to start soldering. The delivery is nice and the heat is good enough with a temperature control. Comes with multiple heads for different uses, but in my opinion, the useful of these are limited.Heats up relatively fast. Easy to use and in general would be a great starter kit for people learning to solder.A roll of thin solder comes with it, and thin solder is much easier to use for beginners. Has a stand for the soldering iron so you can put it down in between using it, although I must say, the stand can be done a little better for sturdier placement.Length of the cable is decent, so the reach is quite good.Need serious soldering? I wouldn't suggest this, because it doesn't feel like it would last long. The hold on it feels somewhat weak, so it doesn't feel durable. Also, the pictures are quite misleading on what this should be used for, in my opinion, because I would choose something more reliable.During use, do mind children around and I wouldn't suggest children using this, as it can get really hot, which is dangerous and can cause fires if not careful.Overall, this is a very comprehensive kit and it's good enough for small uses. £18.97 is far too expensive though, considering this is a 9-in-1 kit and the same brand offers kits with more items, 10-in-1 kit and 14-in-1 kit that are cheaper, hence why a definitive star was knocked off for this.

We've used this a few times and we're really impressed with the heat up time and the temperature control. We found the tips a little difficult to tin at first, but otherwise this seems to be quite a good quality soldering iron for the price. We were a little bit concerned about the stand, but put this in place of an old soldering iron that had a much better stand than the one supplied. All in all it's a good value item that heated up well, has good temperature control and came with the bonus of a reel of solder. We've only taken a star off because the stand could be better.

When I First Received This & Opened The Long Slim Box.. I Thought, OMG! .. They Sent Me A Toy! Really is Slim, But Don't Let That Fool You.. This 90W - 80c to 480c Soldering Iron Is Perfectly Capable of Tackling Any Soldering Job , Slim Tip & Iron are Perfect for Fine Circuit Board Work + You Get 5 Extra Soldering Tips of varying Sizes & Shape to Tackle a Variety of Different Situations. You actually get quite a lot for your money in the box.. The 5 Tips Mentioned, 50g Reel of 0.7 Rosin Core Solder Wire, A little Solder Iron Stand & A Sponge Pad you dampen to Clean Tips.. May be Small & not the Best, but it'll do you fine for a bit. A Spanner for Iron to Change Tips & Instructions. The Iron Features ON/Off Button, a Clear LCD Screen with Large Blue Bright easy to See & Read Digits. A Button to Increase Temp Range & Also One to Decrease.. The Temps Seem Pretty Accurate too.. Also Goes To Sleep & Turns Off after 15 Minutes if Left Uncared for!I Found it rather good in use, both soldering & de-soldering. Equally as good as my Large Solder Rework Station.. Without the hassle of Dragging it out & assembling it. Bit more Quicker & Convenient. Its also Great to Control the Temperature precisely for the job at hand! All Good.I just Noticed before posting, some unlucky buyers have had them go 'Pop'.. Mine has been fine.. Touch Wood! .. So Far! Used it on about 6 occasions in the last 2 weeks. I will keep my eye on it & report back if any issues arise. Hope Not.. as I do like it, it would be a shame to lose it.Being an electrician.. I know if something electrical is going to go, It will either be D.O.A, Go Bang as soon as turned on, or fail certainly within hours/24hrs.. or first week.. generally you'll be fine after that.. not ruling out being unlucky after with component failure! Mass Production for you & sometimes inferior components/design!Still a Hassle though :(I will rate mine as 4 Star for Now, dropped a star out of concern, as seems a few have had issues.. But mine is perfectly fine and works very well, i will use more & alter if need be.

If you need to do some soldering and don't have the gear to do it this kit has it all included, I have only tried this out once and it quickly heated up to temperature, and trying it on some old wire it did the job, I'm not sure about the the digital display, I managed years without that function but for some it could be useful, I just think it could be something to go wrong at some point hopefully not though, does what it's designed for so good enough.

Materials:Solder has a plastic handle, that is covered in rubber for precise finger grip.Plastic On/Off button.Plastic temperature gauge controller, with listed temperature levels.Solder heating element is fully made from aluminum/steel.The kit I received Had a brand new set of Soldering wire, soldering paste, solder holder and 5 different metal heads.Overall I'm happy with it, the solder heats up quickly and holds selected temperature. It has a standard security fuse at the socket plug. The great thing about this bundle is that you get everything you will ever need as a beginner and intermediate micro technician. My only remarks would be related to the solder plastic buttons, they don't feel fully secure and free play a bit. But its nothing serious in the end.

The LCD screen is what drew me to this ironIt is big and easy to see.You need to get used to what the buttons do. (The instruction leaflet is quite small with miniscule text)The orange one is the power button.Long press for on....Long press for off.The grey one is the plus button for going up the temperatures and the green is the minus for going down.It can change between 80 and 480 c ,so lots of range. When on, Press the plus and minus for 1 degree changes or longer press for longer amounts.Let go when the correct temp and it flashes to save itIt keeps whatever was saved last..There is a potentiometer on the circuit board to adjust if it is off temp by much but I havent dont that.In standby you can press both plus and minus to swap between Celcius and Fahrenheit. It heats up very fast and you can watch it do so via the Large numerals which display bright Blue. There is a silicon collar around the top of the handle which gives improved grip while working. The flex end has a reinforcing sleeve where it joins the iron's handle. The Cable is about 1 metre and 35 cm long or about 54 inches and has a UK 3 pin plugChanging the ends is easy. The gnarled metal knob has two flat sides to undo with supplied spanner and the tips slide into the tube that is released by undoing it.It comes with 5 spare ends included, ranging from narrow ,flat blade to pointed endAlso supplied one small reel of solder 0.6mm 50 G 1.6% flux 60% tin 40% lead1 tiny little stand with dry sponge to reconstitute, okay for occasional use but you might want a more robust stand for prolonged useIt works well so far.Due to its fast heating, I was able to tin the weeny little wires on a mini motor and attach them back where they were wanted without burning a hole , leaving globules of solder everywhere or ruining the connector at the other end.I like that there is such control over the temperature and how easy it is to see when it reaches optimum heat and that the main tip is a good fine one for small work.I found this iron easy to use but the variety of button combinations are complicated and you would have trouble using it if you lost the instructions.

Review for Soldering Iron Kit Solder Gun,Welding Tools with Digital-Controlled LCD Screen,90W Thermostat Electric Welding Iron Gun with Automatic Sleeping Mode for Electronic Production/Soldering/Desoldering.A compact solder iron kit suitable for amateur and home use which provides several of the common tools required for soldering jobs you might want to perform. The solder is corded with a 3 pin UK plug with an inline on off switch to save you having to constantly pull the plug out of the socket to switch the iron off. A temperature control allows fine control of tasks allowing temperate setting from 80° ~ 450° C. Included are five different interchangeable tips to suited to many soldering tasks, changed via the included spanner. Comes with stand + cleaning sponge, small roll of solder wire. A storage case of some kind would have been nice to help keep all elements of the kit together. Overall a decent well priced kit for a variety of electronics projects.
