The Remote reciver is perminantly attached to the end of the strip. If you want to hide the LED strip, which looks nicer, you either end up with the RC hidden, making it hard to control or the RC sticking out someware awkard.Mine was stuck out awkardly, and this meant the connection was a bit exposed . It broke pritty quick as it's not robust (fair enough) but it would be better if the remote reciver wasn't soldered to the stip then I could have put the reciver where it was needed and used a connector to run to the LED strips.Bought a replacment (wifi) reciver in the end.

Very easy set up. Been up for about 4 weeks and still stuck on the wall remote works perfectly and super bright. I still haven’t worked out how you’d set up your own light displays but my brother not bothered about it so it doesn’t matter.
