I bought this as I needed a soldering iron for a small job soldering some wires together and was pleasantly surprised at how good this little kit is.Not sure if this would be ideal for heavy usage but for the odd job of soldering it's ideal.

This is a really good little soldering kit for beginners or hobbyists. My grandson is a keen electronics fan and is always inventing and putting together new and interesting projects - from lighting to robot toys, and more. This little kit has been ideal for him, as it is easy to use, the temperature can be adjusted very easily, it solders everything effectively - and it does not worry his parents, as some of the more advanced kits might do, as he is only 15.

Works. The sponge for tip is really anorexic- it’s not going to cost the manufacturer to triple the thickness but it is paper thin as provided.

It works great, only issue i found was that i juggled temp dial but it seemed to be mega hot most settings. Workable though. 👍 must play more with a temp probe to see how it matches the dial...
