ideal for fine wire soldering. Pin point tip not large enough for slightly heavier wire. But overall worked well for what I wanted.

Good build quality, the tips don't hold solder very well even with rosin flux, I have spare tips from my previous iron , that fit this iron also & hold the solder well, nice little holder for the iron, more useful than it looks!, The solder is flux core , well worth the money, Thanks!.

Have not used it just yet, But I,ve looked it over and turned it on, Like one of the reviews said before me,It heats up RAPIDLY and cools down well too, It is made well, And the price is Very Good too. 👍🙂 (I will edit this Review after I,ve used it and will either Add or Remove Stars accordingly.)

Temperature control is easy to set, it’s very hot so be careful, I did burn my finger. Very easy to use, I am a beginner but haven’t actually used it properly yet. I was going to repair a toy my son had but it ended up going in the bin as we had to many of said toys. It could of had a better stand but that really isn’t a problem.

My 20+ year old 40 watt soldering iron finally died on me so, reading the reviews here, I bought this one. Unbelievable! VERY quick to heat up, very powerful on its hottest setting (will solder 10AWG /6mm wire), Soldering now is a joy compared to my old iron. The mains cord is 130cms long, which is great (my old one had a very short cord). As others have said, read the instruction manual before use, but it's pretty straightforward. My only worry is how long this will last, I doubt 20+ years like my old one but even if I get a year out of this It'll still be money well spent.Honestly, buy this Soldering Iron, it's brilliant, especially the very quick heat up time.

This is a great kit, and the soldering iron is just the right size for the fiddly soldering in jewellery making. It doesn't always stay on the rest, and sometimes takes a bit of readjusting to make it stay put, but otherwise this is a great kit. Different interchangeable heads mean I can change them easily to suit the job I'm doing. The temperature control is easy to use, and a good range. Excellent value for money.

Heats up really quickly, I’ve been struggling to use soldering iron outside this was perfect set it to 400 degrees waited 10-15 seconds and started to solder good heat transfer very impressed
